Student Empowerment

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream of a brighter future. Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty—yet in Honduras, nearly 40% of school-aged children do not attend school, leaving many without access to the opportunities they need to thrive.
For families in rural Honduras, the desire to continue studying is often overshadowed by financial hardship. With average daily wages around $6 a day—when work is available—even public school expenses such as tuition, uniforms, transportation, and basic school supplies can place education out of reach.
At Growing Love, we are committed to more than simply funding education—we are investing in the next generation of leaders, changemakers, and disciples of Christ.

Through our student sponsorship program, we provide students with:

Tuition assistance
Transportation support
Uniforms and school supplies
Encouragement, mentorship, and holistic care

But our support goes far beyond the classroom.

Growth & Connection Meetings

Each week, our students gather for Growth & Connection meetings designed to strengthen both their academic and spiritual growth. During these gatherings, students:

Participate in devotionals that nurture their faith
Receive tutoring and academic support
Build friendships and community through games and activities
Take “mini-classes” such as English and computer skills to help prepare them for the future

In addition to these weekly meetings, students are empowered through:

Leadership development opportunities
Community service projects that inspire compassion and responsibility
Practical skill-building that equips them for long-term success

This is about more than education. It’s about empowering students to grow in confidence, deepen their faith, overcome barriers, and create lasting change within their families and communities.

Family empowerment

We believe God designed family to be a place of love, support, and growth. Yet for many families in rural Honduras, poverty creates constant barriers that make it difficult to provide even the most basic needs for their children.

Limited job opportunities, financial instability, and lack of resources often leave families facing impossible choices. Many parents work tirelessly to build a better future for their children, yet still struggle to afford necessities such as food, safe housing, education, and medical care.

At Growing Love, we come alongside families with practical support, encouragement, and hope—helping strengthen the foundation they are already working hard to build.

Through our Family Empowerment Program, we have:

Helped ease the financial burden of education costs so children can continue studying
Made critical home improvements such as repairing roofs, pouring concrete floors, and building bathrooms
Provided food, clothing, medical support, and other essential resources to help families through difficult seasons
Walked alongside families through hardship with prayer, encouragement, and emotional support

Our goal is not simply to meet temporary needs, but to help create long-term stability, opportunity, and hope for families and their communities.

We believe strong families build strong communities. When families are supported, empowered, and rooted in the love of Christ, cycles of poverty can be broken and future generations can thrive.

We believe lasting change happens when entire communities are strengthened and supported. In many rural areas of Honduras, limited access to education, healthcare, and essential resources creates barriers that make it difficult for families to thrive.

At Growing Love, we are committed to investing in communities through partnerships with local schools, churches, and ministries—working together to bring hope, opportunity, and the love of Christ to those we serve.

Through our Community Empowerment efforts, we:

Partner with medical brigades and trainings to help provide healthcare access and education for families
Offer computer and English classes that equip students with valuable skills and future opportunities
Support local schools through classroom donations and educational resources that encourage both students and teachers
Collaborate with churches and community leaders to strengthen and encourage the communities they faithfully serve

We believe true transformation happens when communities are equipped with the tools, support, and encouragement they need to grow stronger together.
